If you wish to fly in airspace exclusion zones or otherwise operate outside the bounds of the Open category, you will need advanced training to obtain your SPECIFIC license. We offer theoretical courses via video conference.

Follow the theory before taking your SPECIFIC exam.

To obtain your SPECIFIC drone license, you must first complete both the specific theory and practical courses. The SPECIFIC theoretical training provides you with the knowledge necessary to pass the SPECIFIC theoretical exam.

We provide these theoretical courses remotely, in collaboration with a Parisian school, during a week where you will learn the theory and review the exam questions.

Specific theoretical training

The specific theoretical training prepares future drone pilots to operate drones safely by providing them with essential knowledge of regulations and best practices.

Which subjects + procedure

The training takes place over 5 days and covers all subjects and points in the air regulations controlled by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

Our trainers will provide you with all the tools you need to pass your exam and will help you revise questions using the school's question database, regularly updated by our trainers.

PROGRAM

All drone theory:

  • Rules of the air and air traffic control procedures, national law - specificities of remotely piloted aircraft, general knowledge of aircraft and remotely piloted aircraft, instrumentation, flight preparation and monitoring, meteorology, navigation, radio, operational procedures, communication.

Review for the online exam, with included pedagogical manual.

FAQ - Specific drone theory

How to become a SPECIFIC drone pilot?

 

1. Theoretical Course + Exam

The theoretical training and STS theoretical exam are organized by designated entities.

After passing the theoretical exam, an STS certificate is issued by the aviation administration.

2. Practical Course + Accreditation

The practical training must be completed at a recognized entity.

The STS-01 and/or STS-02 Practical Training Completion Accreditation is issued by the recognized entity if the evaluation report concludes that the remote pilot candidate has achieved a satisfactory level of practical skills.

The duration of 5 days for the SPECIFIC theoretical training is designed to provide you with maximum information and to prepare you comprehensively. We use our course platforms for an interactive and dynamic approach. During the classes, we conduct multiple-choice questionnaires (MCQs), practical exercises, and discussions to reinforce your understanding.

Our goal is not simply to deliver lectures and leave you to figure things out on your own. On the contrary, once the training is completed, you will have all the necessary skills to pass your theoretical exams at our premises and obtain your STS certificate.

In summary, our training program aims to give you a solid foundation and the necessary tools to succeed in your journey.

Your SPECIFIC theory is valid for 5 years after passing the exam.
