Specific Drone Practice (Media) - Short Cycle

Specific Practice in 5 Days

background bottom

The Practice (media) - Short Cycle is :

A practical training program aimed at the SPECIFIC/OPEN drone license, accelerated for those who already have some experience and wish to intensify their practical courses, etc.

We also provide some additional fundamentals in MEDIA, to give you a slight edge with your practical license.

Our trainers are experts in this field and will provide tailored training.

The practical course (media) - short cycle

An accelerated course to equip you with the best possible basics in piloting, personalized follow-up, and some tips and practices for capturing photos and videos (media).

The objectives of the drone thermography training are :

Benefit from rapid deployment and time savings thanks to the flexibility of drones and mission automation.

Training Objectives

The training aims to equip participants with essential skills to operate drones safely and efficiently. They will learn to pilot drones by developing reflexes suited to unexpected situations and diverse environments. Additionally, they will gain a thorough understanding of current regulations, enabling them to plan and prepare missions in accordance with legal requirements.

Educational Objectives

The pedagogical objectives of the training include mastering drone piloting techniques, precise planning of flight missions in compliance with regulations, and the ability to handle emergency situations or potential malfunctions. Participants will also be trained to adjust image and video settings according to specific needs, while understanding and applying laws governing drone use in Europe.

Training in 35 hours (5 days)

Training Program

BASIC PRACTICAL TRAINING:

Pilot a civilian drone in dual control and then autonomously, as soon as the candidate's level allows them to safely master the machine.

Learn Procedures / Regulatory Processes and Flight Declarations to obtain authorizations for flights in Dangerous, Restricted, or Prohibited areas from authorized organizations.

Master the specificities of flights in urban areas, so-called sensitive, Prohibited, Dangerous, or Restricted zones.

Control, adjust, and maintain aerial imaging equipment including: drone, IMU sensors, flight controller, impact limiter (Parachute), and FTS circuit breaker.

Check the operation, depending on the equipment, of Geo-Fencing, Geo-Barriers, and Low-Speed according to the envisaged working area, with the aim of carrying out aerial image capture by drone, in accordance with the law and the machine's user and maintenance manual.

Follow different checklists (machine preparation, pre-takeoff, post-landing).

Check aeronautical information for the envisaged working area and confirm feasibility.

Consider the conditions for the possible implementation of protocols, depending on the mission objectives according to the type of regulatory category considering the drone used and its payload as well as its class mention.

Take into account obstacles that may interfere with the operation as well as defining safety perimeters and the exclusion zone for third parties.

Confirm the Operational Volume (volume of evolutions and confinement volume, surface of evolutions and surface of confinement, "buffer" surfaces Risk SOL and Risk AIR).

Collect Information Certificates from people in the area, and verify the presence of all necessary and regulatory documents.

Implement procedures to ensure safety and control of human, technical, and environmental risks and put into practice on the ground the decisions made.

Check that an Emergency Response Plan (ERP) has been developed, and possibly, that a Manager (ERM) or a Team (ERT) has been appointed.

Master the Remote piloting of the drone, and know the operational emergency procedures in abnormal conditions (in case of equipment failure or intrusion of third parties into the flight zone) for the OPEN and SPECIFIC STS-01 / STS-02 categories.

ADVANCED TRAINING:

On the movements primarily used with a camera onboard a Drone.

EVALUATED WILL BE:

Technical skills of smooth audiovisual capture including the quality of drone trajectories and associated complex camera movements in the context of a flight situation in normal conditions in Open and Specific STS-01 / STS-02 categories.

Skills related to flight preparation for the Open and Specific STS-01 / STS-02 categories evaluated using a multiple-choice questionnaire. This exercise assesses the candidate's knowledge in preparing for a drone flight mission, from a regulatory and administrative point of view.

Skills required in the preparation of a drone and working area in Open and Specific STS-01 / STS-02 categories.

Adjustment of the photographic sensor and drone settings required to perform audiovisual capture.

Ability and knowledge to implement safety and emergency procedures in case of machine failure or intrusion of a third party into the flight zone.

Ability to manage an event report and flight debriefing.
